Another year at the LJ Princess Tutu Secret Santa exchange. This year my trade was for a girl (I shall leave her anonymous, in case she doesn't want to be noted or she finds this drawing too soon!) who likes Princess Kraehe and Rue, so I drew a sort of mid-transformation Princess Rue sorta thing.
This is actually one of my all time favorite pieces. I think I managed to do a FABULOUS job. You don't have to agree but HOLY SMOKE I'm happy.

The almost monochromatic scheme here really is what drives the emotion behind this piece. Great expression and pose.

To be perfectly honest, parts of it could have been better, but on the whole, looking at the entire thing, I ADORE it. The atmosphere, the expressions... JUST WOW.

yay rue! Her stories so sad. People kinda think shes a bitch, but if your told that the only person who could love you was mytho and another girl comes on the scene and tries to take him, youll act like that too!
